Neo4j Graph Database Engineer


  • Contract Hourly 
  • Work location: Remote, Boston, Austin, and Las Vegas options


You will focus on implementing leading practices database design to design, develop and maintain large, scaled production graph databases, typically Neo4j transactional and analytical applications.


  • Serve as Neo4J and Subject Matter Expert (SME)
  • Working in project teams through agreed-upon phases of a client’s project lifecycle using both agile and waterfall approaches
  • Collaborating with team members in developing applicable methodologies, tools, approaches, points of view, thought leadership, and accelerators to differentiate TTG in the Data Analytics & Visualization market
  • Providing broad technical knowledge of various key technology and business platforms
  • Teaming with client technology professionals, and third-party strategic alliances
  • Interacting and communicating effectively with teammates, clients, stakeholders, and executives
  • Developing‚ÄĮreusable assets such as prototypes, solutions, documentation, and other materials that can help grow the practice


  • Minimum of 3+ years experience developing with Neo4j Graph database platform or similar 
  • Experience Tuning Neo4j databases
  • Fluent in Neo4j admin Cypher graph query language and related tools and frameworks 
  • Proficient in SQL, Python, Java, Java SpringBoot, Groovy, GraphQL, REST
  • Solid understanding of graph data modeling, graph schema development, graph data design for both transactional (OLTP) and analytical (OLAP) workloads.
  • Experience with graph data models (LPG,RDF) and graph languages (Cypher,Gremlin,SparQL), exposure to various graph data modeling for common use cases (Customer 360, data lineage, fraud detection, recommenders)
  • Experience developing APIs using GraphQL or REST
  • Experience developing graph algorithms, optimizing complex queries, designing indexes and constraints.
  • Have the ability to quickly interpret the client’s business questions, compile requirements, and develop prototype solutions
  • Be able to read, write, and speak English fluently and clearly in order to effectively communicate with all personnel for which they will interact
  • Have the ability to communicate with sufficient clarity to be readily understood by laypersons and senior staff
  • Possess sufficient initiative, interpersonal relationship skills, and social sensitivity such that they can relate constructively to a variety of contacts from diverse backgrounds
  • Self-starter who can act autonomously as well as thrive in a strong team environment
  • Be able to work with, clarify, and find creative solutions for ambiguous and sometimes challenging requests
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be able to effectively and efficiently troubleshoot data issues and bugs
